Carole Kyle designs wearable, one of a kind handbags with various upholstery textiles and multiple unique techniques.
A Message from the Artist
“Since 2004, I have been a studio designer, working in Bucks County, but traveling up and down the east coast for fine juried art shows and selling in small business shops in the region.
While my formal training is in landscape design and installation, I have expanded the layering of color and texture by developing handbags and totes with upholstery textiles into wearable and functional art.
The vision and patterns for the bags are my own designs. I construct each bag to stand alone, using durable and often water resistant materials in coordinating patterns and tone. I strive for durability and quality workmanship and this is visible in each and every piece.”
Carole’s business has grown since its conception and customer’s from all over the United States have an overwhelming interest in my mobile studio. This success has led to the recent opening of her Etsy Shop and this online shop.
Style and Quality
The handbag patterns are Carole’s very own functional designs. She hand cuts and machine stitches each element, using a collaboration of color, and texture to transform upholstery fabrics and art canvas into unique, functional wearable art bags.
Carole uses durable, upholstery textiles and art canvas to compose her bags. They have a reinforced bottom with roomy pockets and sturdy top closing zippers. The bags are Scotchguarded for ultimate protection and each bag is signed and numbered to maintain individuality.
Many bags have water resistant qualities.
Carole makes all of her handbags in her Bucks County studio.

Carole, Just wanted to send a quick note about the bag i bought from you on Sunday at the Jenkintown Arts Festival. I am the onle who took a long time to decide and ditched my husband so I could make my own decision. I bought the floral design bag and carried it to work on Monday. I got a compliment on my new bag while on the train and another compliment riding my office elevator. It is a lovely bag and the size is working perfectly for carrying things back and forth from my office. I am so pleased to have benefited from your talents.
Take care, Jane
I love it! Getting used to the smaller size, I guess I have to rely on the carryall. Hope to see you at a show this summer!
I just wanted to tell you I received my special order tote today! It is lovely! I stepped out of my box buying a bag that didnt have to match my shoes. I realized my wardrobe was so basic it was crying out for an active bag!
Thanks for the handbag. It is so much fun to use and I have had many girls admiring it!
Thanks for the bag! I cant wait to wear it to work!
